Do you know who you really are? This is a question that you probably have not been asked in a while, if ever at all.Ā Have you considered who you really are?Ā When asked this question many people say things such as, ” I’m a businessman, I’m a homemaker, I’m a coach, I’m a husband, I’m a wife,” or even “I’m a Christian”.Ā These may be things you do, but if you are born again you are actually a son or daughter of the living God.Ā That is who you are!Ā Although everyone is different and has a unique personality, everyone should know that being a son or daughter of God is the foundation for their existence.
Encouragement
Failure isnāt Forever
I deal with many adults who have diseases from the fear of failing others, performance, and perfectionism.
Some people spend their entire life trying to make everyone else happy and make no allowance for weakness or failure in themselves. They think to admit weakness or failure would mean that they failed. However, thatās a deceptive form of entrapment where our value is based on how good we are and how well we do. The enemy tells these individuals there is no allowance for weakness or failure because that might mean they wonāt be loved or accepted if they didnāt handle or respond to something perfectly.
You the Servant
I want to make sure that you have the tools to be awake spiritually. Many Christians are just walking through life blind. Oh, they are going to heaven alright. The Bible promises heaven, eternal life, foretells of the Lordās millennium reign, and promises of the eternal new heavens and new earth, but 98% of this Bible has to do with this planet and the how the people who live in it should conduct themselves.Ā
True Test of Spirituality
How does God operate on earth? Through you! How does Satan operate in this planet? Through you!Ā Reality check time. A true test of your spirituality is found in Hebrews.
13For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.
14But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.Ā Hebrews 5:13-14
Donāt Answer Too Fast!
I want to ask everyone a question. Do you really hate sin? Now, for believers, the first answer is, of course, āI hate sin.ā
Now, some of you may know that you do not hate sin the way you need to. Ā There is not one person who can say, āyes, I totally hate sin,ā because you are still entangled with the sin within. You cannot say you totally hate it because the enemy will come to accuse and condemn you and tell you that you really do like sin.
So what should the answer be for an overcomer?
Is Someone or Something Getting Under Your Skin?
We are all familiar with the common bodily reactions when anger is present. Ā The face flushes, heart pounds, a possible headache and you get an adrenaline rush of the wrong kind. Fear prefers to run another physical route.Ā Shakes, palpitations, cramps, dizzy… and the list goes on.Ā What is the source of all these physical manifestation?Ā Your spirituality.
The Foundation is Love
[tweet_dis]Love is not based on experience, but on the Word of God.[/tweet_dis]Ā āMy love⦠her love⦠their loveā¦ā but does it match Godās identity, which is love?Ā Agape love meaning affection, benevolence, and a desire. Another rendition of the definitions is āa love feastā. Love isnāt just the words āI Love You.ā If you are going to be a ālove feastā for others, you need to be willing to serve someone in love whatever they need at a particular time. When love is residing in your heart, you have a want, a passion, a desire to do good to others, and to see them blessed, regardless of your feelings.
What’s Love Got to do with it?
This teaching from theĀ For My LifeĀ® program helps us better understand what Unloving spirits really are. The Unloving spirit is one of the most common and widespread spiritual afflictions of mankind, yet it is usually not recognized. Unloving spirits cause us to dislike ourselves and withdraw from others. We must realize that these feelings and conclusions about ourselves are neither normal nor inevitable, but rather, the effect of spirits which God does not want in our lives.
The Part of You That’s Not Really You
Romans 7:17 says āNow then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.ā This is Paul, an apostle of the church, born again, filled with the Spirit of God, teaching righteousness and heās saying heās got sin within.
Maybe youāve been taught that when you become born again, your spirit man becomes totally pure from sin.Ā Paul didnāt teach that, nor does the rest of the bible.Ā Itās about time that we defuse one of the most insidious lies to hit Christianity in 2,000 years.
Meet Jordan ā Healed of Deafness!
Last year Jordan came through the For My Life Youth program with 80% deafness in one ear. During one of the teachings, something happened and a few hours later Jordan realized she could hear well out of both ears!Ā
