The Father’s Love

Be encouraged today as you are reminded how much God loves you! No matter what has happened with your earthly father or with religion, you have a Father in heaven who wants to give you the love and care you’ve always wanted. He has such joy when you come to Him, just as you are, to begin that honest relationship.

God the Father has been saving kids that were rejected by an earthly father since the very beginning. He is the Father of all spirits — a Father to the fatherless and a judge for the widow (Psalm 68:5.) The enemy does not want you to have this relationship. He wants to make you afraid of your Father. But in His Word, God states that He has made us sons and daughters!

James 1:27 says, “Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.”

If you’ve been hurt by what religion has taught you, or by an earthly father who didn’t love you properly, I have good news. God wants to adopt you as His child. You didn’t go looking for Him; He went looking for you! Tweet this! If you have responded, you’re a son or a daughter, not an orphan. So quit arguing the point!

I am a son of God by faith. And I like it! I have accepted it. I am still a kid and I have my days, but my Father is faithful. Years ago the enemy tried to work me over on an issue in my life, and I finally had enough of it. I said to him out loud, “Will you shut up! If I have a problem in my life, it is my Father’s problem, not yours. I’ll take it up with Him and you can leave me alone!”

Then I spoke to God, “Now Father, do you want to talk to me about this?”

Your Father wants you to talk to Him about your stuff. Through Jesus Christ, you have a place of reconciliation. It’s time to take your truckload of issues to God and ask Him to help you sort them out. If you will follow Him, He will make you an overcomer.
