One of the biggest problems many have is that they are comparing themselves to another. Why would you compare yourself to another? They didn’t create you. They didn’t call you. They didn’t save you. They didn’t anoint you. They’re not going to raise you from the dead. They’re not going to redeem you. They’re not going to deliver you. They’re not going to heal you.
Why compare yourself to others? So what if you don’t have it all together. Paul didn’t either. Do you think Moses did? Do you think Jeremiah did? One minute he says, “Oh, there’s a fire that burns within me; it cannot be quenched.” Two breaths later—“ I curse the day my mother ever had me.” They were great leaders, but take a closer look at who God uses.
Many people wrestle with not understanding their identity. You struggle with stuff from your generations, some of which you are not yet aware. You struggle with labels, sociological and psychological, or by the church, by your families, and by your friends. Generally, you can’t get healed until these labels are stripped from you. That is because you’ve become one with what the devil had said and done to your life. Are you in agreement with his stereotyping and profiling of you? Do you compare yourself to others to find your identity?
I want to release you from psychological profiles. I want to release you from being stereotyped according to the flesh or your past. I want to release you from every aspect of your nature that doesn’t match what God created from the foundation of the world for you. I want to release you so that God can change you into His image. Every label that someone has put on you that was not from Him, it is time to flush it.You may be struggling with yourself, but who you think you are may not be who you are at all. Tweet this! You’re being asked to be conformed to the image of the god of this world, the image of the generational curses of your ancestry and to humanistic profiles – all of which have nothing to do with what God saw in you from the foundation of the world.
Remember what God said to Jeremiah?
4 Then the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, 5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations. – Jeremiah 1:4-5
Why am I bringing this to your attention? I want to encourage you in your journey of overcoming. When you’re faced with what you’re not, all you can see is what you’re not. Sometimes you can’t see what God saw from the foundation of the world.
You only have this generation. You don’t have another one. I don’t care if you have a spiritual problem. I don’t care if you have fallen. I don’t care what you’ve done. It does not replace God’s will for you from the foundation of the world. If you make it that, you’ve bought the bigger lie. That is Satan’s will for your life, not God’s.
You can listen to lies of the devil, and it will seem to be just as true as if it were God speaking. That’s why you have to be able to know that anything that comes to diminish who you are as a representative of God’s glory in the earth is of the devil. Period. Every thought that does not line up with the knowledge of God is a lie. “Well, I don’t think that God loves me today.” That is stinkin’ thinkin’.
One thing that I have learned in my life is, even when I’m in sin, the Father loves me. He doesn’t love me anymore when I’m not sinning than when I am sinning. His love is constant!
