Throughout the history of man there have been wars. Each year at this time, we Americans take time out to remember those who have given their lives for the various causes of their country.
Each war has its agenda. There are those Americans that are split over the results. Some even refuse to remember at this time of year because men who died were not part of their “war affections” and conclusions.
Regardless of one’s “bent” politically or position taken, let this position be very clear, there is not one fallen American in any war that is not to be honored. Many parents lost their sons and daughters; many wives lost their husbands; and many children lost their father or mother in these wars.
The Bible states that there is not one sparrow that falls to the ground that God does not take notice of. How much more valuable is a human, made in God’s image, to God, not just the sparrow. God knows the hearts of all men and will gather all men to himself for judgment and untold millions to eternal blessing.
Whether we live, or whether we die, we are the LORD’S. Let us take time out to honor all of our fellow Americans from all wars and causes at this time of year. Each fought for the freedom or cause that was the integrity of their heart.Take time out to give thanks for those who gave their lives, and let’s honor them fully. Tweet this!
