Restoring the Family Unit

(A 4.5 Minute Read)

At some point of time, every human comes to a place of feeling stuck. It may be that our resources or understanding are limited in an area that constrains us from being able to move forward. We may find ourselves in a familiar rut, which looks just like the one that our fathers and forefathers fell into in generations past. The enemy wants it to seem hopeless and unsurmountable, but God has a different perspective.

At Be in Health®, we are devoted to helping you unravel iniquity and understand the battleground so that you can move forward as overcomers. We’ve observed that over 80% of disease is rooted in a separation from God, ourselves and others. This is essentially the breakdown of the single greatest commandment:

And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this [is] the first commandment. And the second [is] like, [namely] this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these. Mark 12:30-31

This breakdown is most evident in the home and the family unit. God intended the home to be a place of love, peace and nurture for all of its inhabitants. Unfortunately, the enemy hates that, because He knows how dangerous a properly functioning home can be to his kingdom.

So many of us find ourselves in the halfway house of just existing. We are just trying to get through to the next day. The family dynamic may be tense or stressful or perhaps there is a specific disease that is plaguing its inhabitants. May we assure you that that is not God’s best plan for you? He’s provided all of the resources in His Word to restore His people to the fullness of peace, love and joy. He doesn’t want you to just have to survive; He wants you to be able to thrive! The problem may come when we don’t know how to appropriate that or don’t have the understanding we need in order to rise to it.

Our For My Life™ courses are designed to provide solid, Word based teachings that will help God’s people get back on track towards healing, not only in their bodies, but also in their spirit and relationships.

Twice a year we provide an exciting opportunity for the whole family, which is the triple program week. During this week we have the For My Life™ program, the For My Life™ Children’s program and the For My Life™ Youth program all running simultaneously.

This is an amazing opportunity for the each member of the family to learn at their level and be able to rise up together as overcomers. Imagine the possibilities of a fully equipped family unit who has found their identity in Father God and are able to give and receive His love. Imagine the hope of rising out of those old ways and walking the path that God designed for your healthy, fully functioning family to travel.

We look forward to the opportunity to come along side you and encourage you on this journey as believers and overcomers. With God, all things are possible!

Blessings,

The Be in Health® Team

Testimony

Growing up, my family wasn’t what you’d call a loving, safe or nurturing environment. My parents did the best they could with what they had, but so often the generational anger and rage would rise up to cause hurt and confusion.

I grew up with intense fear and anxiety issues as well as various diseases including asthma, allergies, eczema, chronic back pain, chronic headaches, depression and more.

I remember, even as a young child, begging God to either deliver me from the fear or to take me home to Heaven. I was so frustrated at church because the preacher told us that we needed to be love and have peace and joy, but I didn’t even have a clue what that actually meant. As a result, I developed a fabricated personality to try to be those things in my own strength, based on my own understanding.

I became excessively bubbly and, some might say, hyperactive. But there was still no peace. I constantly felt the sting of rejection and abandonment. I couldn’t maintain meaningful relationships. I couldn’t receive love even though I so deeply craved it. Everything I did cried out for attention.

Then in my mid teenage years, through a series of events in our home that led to a desperate situation, my mother came to Be in Health® to attend the For My Life™ program. She came home a totally different person.

The following year my whole family had the opportunity to attend the For My Life™ program together. My life was totally changed!

All at once all of those dots that I couldn’t connect came together; it really made sense to me. I was so excited to finally have the tools and the resources to be able to overcome fear and the issues that were causing so many problems. I began to have a glimpse of my identity in Christ and started to shed the fabricated personality. The incredible freedom I experienced and the true hope and joy that I received were beyond anything I could have hoped for. I never wanted to leave.

I moved to Thomaston, GA by myself soon after I graduated high school to be a part of Be in Health®. Fast forward thirteen years since my first time attending For My Life™ and I have a family of my own. I cannot even express how grateful I am to have the teachings of Be in Health® as a foundation for our family.

I had every good intention to not do what my parents did when I had kids. But low and behold, that same generational anger, rage and resentment, that same fear anxiety and stress began to manifest towards my children through me and in my children. But because of the tools and training we had received, we were equipped to deal with that stuff and overcome it. We are walking out our salvation daily. We are constantly learning and growing by the grace of God.

I cannot even begin to imagine or wish to imagine what would have happened if we had not known how to recognize and overcome the enemy in our lives. If we did not understand the principles of separation, we would still be blaming ourselves and each other and our home would have continued the generational cycle of breakdown and destruction.

I would like to add that I have, over the course of these years been healed and delivered from every disease that I struggled with from my childhood. God is so faithful and I know that what He’s done for me and my family He will surely do for everyone else who desires it and seeks His truth. He is not a respecter of persons.
