High blood pressure, physiologically (physically), is a result of the imbalance of the sympathetic nervous system producing cell membrane semi-rigidity. The diameter of your blood vessels begin to narrow {constrict} as the blood vessels start to tense. The heart is pumping correctly, but because of the tension, the blood can't get through like it used to and begins to back up in its flow.
That raises the blood pressure. This is coming out of what is normally called the mind-body connection. I know it as spirit-soul-body
connections.
