The cancer profile person responds to loss, whatever it is, with profound feelings of helplessness and hopelessness. Then there are other defense mechanisms that begin to come to help them protect themselves from this inner battle.
Their feelings are not acknowledged inwardly. They are in denial with themselves about their own feelings. Sometimes they put on a fabricated personality. They'll put on a smile but it's not a real smile. They'll put on all kinds of defense mechanisms to hide the real pain within. These feelings are not expressed to others.
The Bible says to confess your faults one to another so that you may be healed. The cancer type individual does not do well in confession because they don't trust not being rejected. So they don't confess. They internalize their problems and their weaknesses. Another aspect of the cancer profile is that the person may put on a happy face but denies any sense of loss, anger, distress, disappointment or despair.
Listen to this statement. Malignancy at the cellular level - which is what cancer is, is thus, despair that has been experienced biologically - despair at the cellular level. It may be seen then, that none of us just gets cancer. We reach a point at which our deepest need and wish is to withdraw from life and we therefore choose to develop cancer, although we would openly and aggressively deny that as truth.
Well, may I suggest to you that you become aggressive in denying the existence of cancer and what causes it? Begin to fight.
I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live Deut 30:19
So as a man thinketh in his heart so is he. Prov. 23:7
It is possible that many cancers are a state of despair made manifest and real. How then do our spirituality and thoughts get translated into malignant cells? The link between mind and body is the body's natural defense system - our immune reaction to anything foreign or abnormal in the blood. It is a failure in the immune defense system that may allow the cancer to develop and grow.
It is estimated that aberrant cells may develop at least 200 times in a person's lifetime but if the immune system is healthy, immune mechanisms reject these cells in their early state of tumor formation by surrounding and destroying them. The immune defense system constantly watches over our interior milieu defending us from within unless the integrity of the immune mechanisms have been compromised. This can happen under the pressure of chronic spiritual and soul stress.
The immune system can be adversely affected by our thoughts through two pathways. First through the central nervous system via the limbic system, which includes the hypothalamus. There is a direct suppressive link from thought to the health of the immune system. The other pathway is the endocrine system which is also managed by the limbic system by the hypothalamus. Hormonal imbalances created by improper thoughts and emotions further suppress the immune system and its responses.
In fact, if bad thinking can cause disease, as I close, then the reverse of this equation could also be true:
Good thinking could prevent disease; in this case, cancer is included.
