Learning to walk in Godly order is not easy in the beginning. The bottom line is we all fail on a daily basis. If we have drivenness, we are going to struggle to let ourselves off the hook. That can be an open door to self-bitterness.

The strongman of Bitterness needs to be addressed. We may not know where it's coming from, but we do know that it can be frustrating. If we were taught to perform, if we were taught to see results and we have been working hard to find them and couldn't, we would have Bitterness.

However, it could be hard to recognize, because we tend to think that it is just the way we are. So we layer it with the next thing we were going to try to accomplish. We wouldn't want to look for Bitterness, because that would send us into hopelessness and all sorts of other things - all of which are lies of the enemy.

In order to help an autistic child, the parents have to set the home in spiritual order. They have to agree to do so and work together so the husband takes his role as head of the home and the wife supports him in his role. Then God can work in the family. He wants to teach all of us. We need to let Him teach us how to love ourselves, love our spouse, love our children, as He wants us to love one another. We also need to give Him room to teach our children - even if they have learning disabilities.
