Fear is the evil of today. Is "taking thought for tomorrow" fear, anxiety and stress?

Yes. But 2 Timothy 1:7 says, "God has not given us the spirit of fear, but power (that means we have enough power for today), love (we are accepted), and a sound mind."

2 Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. Fear of tomorrow is not soundness of mind. It is incorrect spiritually because God didn't give us the spirit of fear.

We have become one with fear in our spiritual thinking and have become one with it in our long-term memory, which is our psychology. So the law of sin is now in our members.

The law of God says - Take no thought for tomorrow.
The law of God says - God did not give you the spirit of fear.

The law of sin says God cannot care for you. It says something wrong is going to happen to you tomorrow and fear needs to maintain you today. It infers it needs to protect you from the dread of what's going to happen tomorrow. This is the law of sin taking the redominance of our thinking and then the law of God has been suppressed. When we yield to the law of sin, we are practicing unrighteousness.
