A friend’s mom was at For My Life recently. When she returned home she shared A More Excellent Way with her daughter who has endometriosis. Since she didn’t find much information about the disease in the book, she just began working on issues the book brought up, she prayed through rejection, bitterness, and everything that she felt pertained to her life. She already had her ovaries and uterus removed and was scheduled to soon have a 12-hour surgery to remove all endometriosis-related tissue from her neck down to her bladder. It had been affecting her lungs.

She went through the book getting her heart right with the Lord. She didn’t think the issues she was praying through had to do with her physical health, she just wanted to be right with the Lord. After going through a series of repentance, that very night the Lord woke her up and told her to cancel the appointment for the 12-hour surgery. She did. She also cancelled her Medicaid so as not to have a back-up plan. As she hung up the phone with the Medicaid office her physical pain ceased. She had been in extreme pain for 2.5 years and this was the first time it had ever stopped. She had been on extensive pain meds, but they never alleviated the pain, so she had already stopped taking them awhile back.

She has been free of pain and symptoms for six months. She does notice if her heart is not right with God the pain returns, but she just repents and it goes away. She often repents to her children when she sins against them and then prays with them.

She read a book called the Endometriosis Sourcebook. She said the only good thing she got out of it was that one doctor said that endometriosis is the result of a woman hating herself and who she is. Many, many readers and doctors attacked the doctor’s statement, but she took it and ran with it.

When I shared the current insight Henry had about endometriosis, of course, she totally agreed. The Lord had already led her through those issues. Amen!
