If You’re At Risk, It’s Not Worth It

(A 6.5 Minute Read)

If you are at risk of cardiovascular disease, the Doctor might encourage you to manage your diet and exercise more. The puzzling thing is that even if you follow the rules to the book, you are still at risk, it’s just reduced. There has to be something deeper than just diet and exercise that drives this disease.

Dr. Henry Wright has been teaching on the root issues behind disease for the past thirty years. He’s observed that over 80% of diseases have a spiritual root and cardiovascular disease is no exception. Wherever there is a spiritual root issue, you can find separation in relationship with God, yourself and/or others.

A recent study linked people with a type “A” personality with an increased risk of cardiovascular disease. According to the psychiatric community, a type “A” personality is now considered a type of personality disorder and is associated with characteristics such as hostility, aggression and anger. Do you think that those issues could cause separation in relationships?

Obviously, not everyone who struggles with type “A” personality characteristics has cardiovascular disease and not everyone who has cardiovascular disease has this personality type. What we’ve observed at Be in Health® is that some of the major root issues behind cardiovascular disease are fear, anxiety and stress as well as anger, rage and hostility. These spiritual issues coincide with the medical community’s observation.

If we look at this from a believer’s standpoint, we know that God does not make mistakes. If He was responsible for giving a person that type of personality should it carry good fruit or evil fruit?

A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither [can] a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Matthew 7:18

Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man. James 1:13

So if God does not put evil in a person who or what does? What do these root issues look like and how can we overcome them?

The Word tells us clearly who our true enemy is and it’s not your neighbor, Father, Mother or brother:

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high [places]. Ephesians 6:12

This is where it is so important that we understand how to separate ourselves and others from their sins the way that Father God separates us from ours. We need to get His perspective rather than looking at it from face value. When we can understand the bondage a person is in, whether it’s our self or someone else, we can begin to have compassion for that person. We can learn to love the person and hate the sin because the sin is not them; it is not who they are. Father God can even show us who He created that person to be without the impairment of bitterness or fear clouding our vision.

It really would seem easier to just deal with the surface issues of diet and exercise but if we have a desire to pull ourselves completely out of the waters of risk of caridovascular disease, some healing needs to be done at the heart level. We’re talking the spiritual heart and the physical heart will follow.

High Cholesterol is a good example of one of the cardiovascular issues that can occur because of the presence of these root issues. Fear, bitterness and especially hostility, will lead to rigidity in the lining of the arteries. When this continues long term, microscopic fishers begin to form. The cholesterol molecules then become lodged in those fishers and build up into a plaque in the arteries. If this plaque continues to accumulate, it will lead to restricted blood flow to the heart and could ultimately cause a heart attack.

As a principle, when we line our hearts and minds up with God’s Word and His way of thinking, health, peace and joy will come by default. On the contrary, when we line ourselves up with how the enemy thinks, we are lining ourselves up with his will for your life, which is disease, fear, separation in relationships and finally, death. The Word gives us a clear choice of who we are going to serve.

I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, [that] I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live. Deuteronomy 30:19

Dr. Wright says this in the teaching, God is > Caridovascular Disease, “If you want your body to stay healthy and alive and to serve you, you have to be kind to it as the driver. You need to love yourself. You can’t love your neighbor if you don’t love yourself.”

The greatest commandment according to Jesus is this:

And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this [is] the first commandment. Mark 12:30

The enemy’s main objective is to divert us from following this commandment in its entirety. He will cause frustration and stir up events to create an offense and a breach in relationship. If we don’t recognize what is going on and are unwilling to forgive, bitterness has an open door.

Bitterness is the opposite of love. It looks for and believes the worst about a person rather than the best. It will hold a person to their sin and make them one in identity with it. It can lead all the way from unforgiveness to resentment, retaliation, anger, hatred, violence and even to murder if we let it come to completion in our hearts. That murder is not necessarily physically killing someone, it can even be speaking evil about a person to another person. We need to let ourselves and others off the hook! We need to stop being the judge and the jury and let God do His job while we take our peace.

Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaketh evil of [his] brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the law, and judgeth the law: but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge. There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another? James 4:11-12

Fear, anxiety and stress will always project the worst. It would love nothing more than to drag up the evil from our past experiences and bring it into the future. It will set us up with worry and dread. It will rob our peace and bring in drivenness and striving instead. It is the opposite of faith and trusting God.

Fear, anxiety and stress come in where love is lacking.

There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. 1 John 4:18

This perfect love can come only from Father God because He is love. Jesus came to show us the Father and to restore us to relationship with Him. A breach in relationship with Father God can come in many ways. Maybe He has been misrepresented by an earthly Father. Or maybe we’ve regarded bitterness or accusation towards Him and placed the blame for evil on Him. This all comes out of not fully knowing Him in who He is and how He thinks and believing the lies of the enemy about Him instead.

The enemy is the king of dodge and deflect; he will cause an issue in our life but will always place the blame on someone other than himself. He might blame us, God, another person even a thing or a circumstance. That’s why the Word says that we need to be wise as serpents and harmless as doves.

We need to begin to recognize where the enemy is speaking to us and trying to separate us from relationships. We need to be equipped to remove him and to stand against his lies with the truth of the Word.

This is why it is so essential for our freedom and healing to believe God’s truth 100%. If we can’t believe Him, we will have no firm foundation to stand on against the enemy and will be largely unsuccessful as overcomers. Let God be true, but every man a liar (Romans 3:4).

It is worth it? Are these patterns of thought that we’ve agreed with worth dying for? It’s time that we start reevaluating the way we think and start paying attention to what is manifesting. It’s time we start lining ourselves up with God and who He created us to be rather than the identity that the enemy is trying to form us into. We must dig into the Word of God and seek His heart and His truth and receive it for our own lives. In the renewal of relationship with Him, others and ourselves, we will find the completeness of health, peace, love and joy.

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. James 1:17

Defeating Diseases and Disorders

April 28-29, 2017

Do you want to defeat diseases and other disorders in your life?  This is your opportunity. For over thirty years Dr. Henry Wright and his team have been helping people defeat diseases and disorders from a scriptural foundation, even those that may be hereditary.

God Paints a Picture through His People

I love how the Spirit of God operates as an extension of the Father. I love how He begins to paint a picture through people who are ready to serve Him.

The body of Christ is one, and it has many members, some of differing degrees of honor. The Word is very clear; God chooses people that love Him and works with those people to serve Him. You just respond to Him. God will give to one person one talent, to another two, to another five.

God is Able to Lead You

Temptation is not who you are. Tweet this!   At times, we are tempted to be afraid if we talk to the Father because He might answer us.  The kingdom of sin is threatened when you hear from Him.  So, in our moments of weakness, we don’t want to take a risk. I know believing God the Father is by faith. Knowing God is by faith. But the Bible says if any man lacks wisdom, we are to ask Him for it.

A Tip for Reading the Scriptures

I personally, as a pastor, use the King James Version. You say, ‘well it’s so complicated, and the thees and the thous.’

You don’t have to be a Hebrew scholar or a Greek scholar to understand Hebrew and Greek. In fact, you don’t have to know Hebrew and Greek at all to understand Hebrew and Greek, thanks to the Strong’s Concordance. You can take the King James Version, with a Strong’s Concordance, and look up every single word you don’t understand.

Knowing God’s Will for Your Life

How do I know God’s will for my life?

God speaks to you through desires. There’re two ways that God works with men. First, He said He would give you the desires of your heart. So you have something that’s sovereign. Even the preacher in Ecclesiastes said, “young man, whatever comes into your heart to do, do it. But know this that in the end, God will bring every word and deed into judgment.”

The Father’s Love for you

Do you remember, while growing up as a child, hearing your father say these words: “I love you”? I ask this question everywhere I go around the world. The answer to this question, most of the time, is no.

This is not just happening in America. One time when I was ministering, a young girl from Mozambique came up to me and said, “I’ve been a Christian for a long time, and you are the first person that came up to me and looked me in the eye and said ‘I love you.’”

I Do or Do I?

When you submit to the Word of God, it absolutely straightens out your mind, and you become more spiritually correct. When you allow yourself to be spiritually corrected by the Word, then your mind can be renewed by the powerful, washing of the water of the Word.  This renewal takes place within your spirit, not just your mind, and as a result unites in faith with what God has already said. When the yielding to the Word takes place, your mind, your soul, and your spirit have become one in obedience to God, and your thinking is no longer double-minded.

Real Solutions for Hypothyroidism: No Meds Required!

In hypothyroidism, there is an autoimmune component which kicks in involving white corpuscles which collect at the thyroid location and cause non-bacterial inflammation and swelling. This advanced stage is called Hashimoto’s disease. This is when there are lowered levels of thyroxin being secreted by the thyroid.
