Temple regeneration is God’s amazing, perfect design. According to science, your body regenerates most of its cells more than once in a lifetime unless the process in the body is interfered with by disease, depression or external interference (chemical or mechanic trauma, etc.) Even though we may have perceptions that our bodies are permanent structures, our tissues, and organs (with the exception of the bulk of our brain) are continually being turned over, renewed, in a balance between the constant death of old cells and the constant birth of new cells.
If you identify the work of iniquity and sin out of your life, God can maintain your temple. You don’t have to die tormented in old age with a broken heart. You can just be serving the Lord and loving folks until it’s time to fly away. However, if this spiritual instruction is not provided and implemented in your life, you won’t have the faith for it.
The Scriptures tell us where to focus our attention when the things in life get bumpy.
The spirit of a man will sustain his infirmity; but a wounded spirit who can bear? - Proverbs 18:14It may come as a small surprise, but you get to decide what stays in your life, even in your time of infirmity. 19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: 20 That thou mayest love the LORD thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them. - Deuteronomy 30:19-20
