You Can Overcome!

The Word says that anything that will not stand the test of fire will be burnt up. So you can count on all the works of the flesh not making it into heaven. The works of the flesh don’t exist in God’s kingdom! You can forget about strife ruling in heaven. You can forget about anger dominating in heaven. You can forget about lust governing in heaven. You can forget about fear reigning in heaven.  They never have and they never will.

What about when the LORD taught His disciples to pray, He said, “Father, Your will be done in earth as it is in heaven.” So I guess what heaven represents we should be establishing here now on earth.

And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth. Luke 11:2

And don’t tell me you can’t do it. YOU CAN DO IT! You can be an overcomer! You can say yes to God and no to sin. It may take you a little practice, but I know you can do it. You have to decide who’s LORD. Because you are to be a gift, you are to be the salt, you are to be the light. Mankind should see you and see God at some dimension, and then give God glory because of your good works.

Jesus said this, “If you don’t believe what I say, believe me for my works sake, because they testify of Him.”  He knew His identity with the Father and it showed in His works on earth.

Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father is in me: or else believe me for the very works’ sake. John 14:11

Jesus said, “If I by the Spirit of God cast out devils, know you this, the kingdom of God has come unto men.” Where? In heaven or on earth? Here, where you are working out your salvation!

But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you. Matthew 12:28

So here we have John the Baptist prophesying the purging of God’s people. That is known as the baptism of fire.

I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire. Matthew 3:11

Is Jesus LORD of your life?  You don’t have to wonder whether He is or isn’t LORD when you live your life according to the Word.  He knows whether you are His or not, but you need to have the boldness that stems from the purging of iniquity.

Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. 2Timothy 2:19

This teaching is essential to every believer who desires to be sanctified, to be purified, and to be a vessel of honor as a work of the Holy Spirit.
